Hello,
I'm going to redo the slanted roof from the outside. I plan to use Renovation Panel 4800x1200x81mm.
my questions are - i see i screw the PIR insulation boards to the roof decking but i'm concerned about attaching the battens to the PIR boards. Should the nail for the battens go into the attic 3 cm beyond the wooden roof surface? That would mean that I would need more than 14 cm of nails (batten, counter batten, PIR insulation boards, wooden roofing board). Is this correct?
- Is it ok to place the vapor barrier directly on top of the outside wooden roof construction, and then the PIR directly on top without any space? Would nails penetrating the vapor barrier not let moisture through?
Thank you
