We have an air leak in our bathroom through the recessed spots! Can someone please advise where this will probably come from and how we can repair this?
I have a house with a small extension of about 1.5 meters with a flat roof that is held with zinc. The flat roof is on top of an uninsulated cavity wall with open bumps in the outside wall.
The problem: under the flat roof is part of our bathroom, which has a lowered ceiling. The space above is clearly filled with air of outside temperature. In the winter this makes the bathroom ice cold, because the cold air flows into the bathroom from the space above the ceiling via various fittings of the recessed spots. On windy days it is so bad that you would think that we have left the windows of the bathroom ajar. The schematic drawing below is my estimate of what the construction could look like.
Wat is hier aan de hand en hoe los ik dit op?
