Ruimte tussen raam en houten kozijn

We bought a 1973s tussenwoning that has been neglected.
This is what I'm dealing with now. Kozijnen met houtrot en there is a gap between the kozijn and raam that needs some insulation i guess? before it's kitted.

Any ideas very much appreciated.

Eerst maar eens met een schroevendraaier in de hoeken prikken. Ik ben bang dat er (veel) meer verrot is.

Since you bought this house recently: make a plan for the whole house. What is your long-term plan with it? Then you don't make on short-term the wrong choices. These windows are not very good insulated, so maybe it's better to replace them for triple-glass.

For the plan, in order of importancy:
- ventilation
- airtightness
- insulation
- installation
