A history of asbestos in the nethetlands (phase out of concrete in the 80s?)

Dear asbestos experts,

I was reading local legislation regarding the asbestos decree of 1978 banning sprayable asbestos. I am curious to know when asbestos commercially and residentially was not mixed into concrete/cement anymore. Numerous sources say the 80s...but anyone knows when a little more specifically.

I'm looking to help a freind with some work in a building from 1987 in Zeeland that was a commercial converted to residential and wanted to make sure it was prudent to mess with any concrete ceilings regarding light fixtures.

Changes of asbestos in concrete poured in 1987 are near to zero.
But if you're in doubt, take a sample and have it analyzed.

Ik zie er misschien stom uit. maar ik vraag dit omdat we in Groot-Brittannië tot eind jaren negentig asbest in beton stopten.

I think over here the dutch mentality was more prudent than to just put it in everything possible.

cement en asbest werd hier ook veelvuldig toegepast in plaatmateriaal en degelijke.

Maar in constructief in het werk gestort beton heb ik dat nog nooit mee gemaakt.
was dat in Engeland anders?

Weet je ook met welk doel er dan asbest gebruikt werd toegevoegd aan een betonmengsel

as far as I know. It was liked for fire retardation as well as cladding. A lot of social housing from the 70s in London for example is chock full of it.

Het had wellicht dezelfde functie als de kunststofvezels die ze tegenwoordig bijvoorbeeld in dekvloeren doen.
