Hi everyone,

I am new here and I want to ask a question. My Dutch isn't that good (yet). So I am gonna post my question in English while you guys can answer me in Dutch. Thank you!

Coming back to my question, I have bought a small showcase made of particleboard (spaanplaat vitrinekast). I want to ask how to paint it white gloss (hoogglans wit). Is it even possible to do that? Which steps should I follow?

I am attaching a pic of one side-board to show you how the material looks like. I was doing some research before posting my question over here and I have read that many people are advising to use latex paint as base and then color it. Is it correct? But how can I get white gloss look?

What you have is chipboard with a veneer finish. You can scour it lightly with sandpaper 320. Then bring on the veneer surface a primer. You can finish it with a high gloss coating.
