Drilling in frame around front door windows(s)

Dear All,

First, appologies for not writing in Dutch here.

I have attached a photo of one of my frontdoors windows and the frame around it.
I was wondering if it´s possible to drill into that frame, or does the glass go into that part as well?
Reason: I want to put blinds (jalozieen) up in front of the two windows.

Thanks!

This is a normal detail of a windowframe. Normally the glass has a rabet of about 14mm. You can check the exact dimension at the glazing beads (see arrow)

Thank you! So this means that I should NOT drill into the frame around the window unless I want to drill into the glass?

My point is that you can see for yourself how deep the glass goes into the frame. So you can see where you can drill safely.

Ah you mean that this I can see by looking carefully at the glass to determine it? Not sure if I understood the drawing.
But where the glass ends, what´s there then (usually)? Metal?
